The provided pie charts offer a comparative analysis of age group distributions in Oman and Spain, both in 2005 and the anticipated figures for 2055.

Upon initial examination, it is evident that Spain exhibited a higher proportion of elderly individuals compared to Oman. However, a noteworthy shift is anticipated, with the middle age group projected to assume dominance, leading to a reduction in the young age category for both nations.

In 2005, Oman’s population was predominantly composed of two age groups: those under 14 and those above 60, each constituting 48%. The 15 to 59 age group, the smallest, represented only 4%. Projections indicate a significant surge in the elderly population, reaching nearly 60%, while the 0 to 14 age group is expected to decrease to just over one third.

Similarly, Spain is expected to experience a decline in the percentage of children under 14 to 12%, with a substantial increase in the middle age group to 42%. The proportion of older individuals is projected to decrease by one third to 46% over the next five decades.

Band 5.5
The Report addresses important aspects of the infographic well, and also has an accurate structure.
The information lacks a few more important details and the length should be a little more,
using clearer description of the statistics and adding complex sentences to it.

The pie charts provide a comparison of the distribution of age groups in two countries – Oman and Spain, for the year of 2005 and the projected figures in 2055.
A brief assessment of the chart reveals that Spain has had a relatively higher proportion of elderly compared to that of Oman. Nonetheless, the middle age of Spain is expected to take over the dominant position while both nations will undergo the reduction of young age group.
Being the most noticeable, the population of Oman was mainly composed of two age groups: those under 14 and those above 60, each accounting for 48% of the population in 2005. The 15 to 59 age group, which was the smallest, only made up 4% of the population. It was projected that the portion of elderly will surge to be prevalent from nearly half to almost 60% after 5 decades, thus, replacing the ratio of 0 to 14 years old from 48% to just over one third of the population accordingly.
Similarly, the percentage of children under 14 is expected to decrease by 2% to 12% in Spain during the next half century while the middle age group is predicted to soar by almost a double to 42%. As an alternative, the ratio of older people was dropped by one third to just 46%.
