The bar graph illustrates the count of houses built every year from 2000 to 2009 in two major cities, namely Derby and Nottingham.

Overall, It is evident from the graph that the number of houses in Nottingham experienced significant variations over the years, whereas Derby witnessed a steady rise in the count.

To begin with Derby city, it started off at around 50 houses in the year 2000. Furthermore,in 2003 the count increased to more than 100 houses and city maintained the same count till 2007. It further noticed a substantial growth in 2008 with approximately 300 houses and hit a high point in 2009 with almost 250 houses in the city.

A glance at the graph reveals that Nottingham began with close to 50 houses in 2000. But the number declined in the year 2002. The trend pattern seen in 2003 and 2004 is same as the year 2000 and 2001. The figure encountered a slight rise in 2005 by crossing the count of 50. It again went through a dramatic dip in 2006, followed by a drastic climb in 2007 with almost 200 houses. At the end of the period, Nottingham soared to approximately 250 houses in 2009, after a considerable decrease in 2008.
