Vices associated with social and cultural conduct are harder to quit. Worldwide, a considerable amount of people ignore the health risks and keep smoking. This notion is dangerous and should be a concern, since cigarettes affect the quality of life of the active and passive users. Possible solutions for this matter are: the rise of cigarette prices and initiatives to divert its investors.

Smokes ignore the health consequences for themselves and for those in their surrounding. Passive smokers are the ones who inhale the smoke emitted from the active ones, and, although not responsible for this effect, are persistently faced with diseases, such as lung and throat cancer. The more ignorant cigarette users, the more people are affected by them.

Increasing tabaco prices affects the big companies and the ability of users to consume the same quantity as before. The current market relies heavily on money and capitalization of the product, thus, when it is exposed to inflation, it loses influence and buyers. For instance, a lower income worker will sacrifice his spending on cigarettes when faced with a price increase. With that said, it can also be inferred that government initiatives to divert investors money to other sectors can destabilise the companies; the less investors and buyers, the less influence.

In conclusion, cigarette use is a concern and must be lowered if we want the best quality of life possible for the world population. That may be achived by taking away the interest of investors and inflicting an inflation on their prices, resulting in loss of power and money.
