The graph illustrates the number of books read by men and women at Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014.

Overall, it is clear that the critical point is 2013 for both sexes. After that time, the number of books read by men shows increasing trend, whereas the number of books read by women is dramatically declining.

In 2011, the number of books read by women and men was about 5000 and 3000, respectively. It can be seen that there was a rapid rise for both genders from 2011 to 2013. By 2013, women reached their ultimate point at approximately 9000, and that year men also read the same number of books as women.

In the year 2014, the highest number of books read by men in 2014, at about 14000. On the other hand, women started to read fewer books than men. In total, it is possible to claim that men read more books than women in that given period.

The graph shows the number of books read by men and women in the Burnaby Public Library during the four years of 2011 to 2014.

In 2011 , the interest of men in reading was far below that of women. Men read about 3000 books while the women read over 4000 books.

By 2012, even though the number of books read by men increased to about 4000, the women had increased their reading desire and read more than double of what they did the previous year by reading about 8500 books.

The interest of men and women in reading was almost at par in 2013 as both partied read about 10,000 books that year.

However, in 2014 there was a sharp decline in the number of books read by women. A lot of factors could have been responsible for this, but the men developed better interest in reading and had close to 14,000 books read. I t was disappointing to see that women read only about 8,000 books,
