The another version:

It is commonly argued that more proportion of funds should be allocated to building expressways or road networks rather than spent on establishing efficient public transport amenities. From my viewpoint, I strongly oppose to the notion as my objection will be backed up with several convincing reasonings.

First, the adamant fact that urban population rises dramatically as the urbanisation is a ubiquitous trend. In view of urbanisation, people relocate or flock to the metropolitan cities to eye on abundant job opportunities and result in high social mobility. Thus, more people are in dire need to use private vehicles as primary mode of transportation. Nevertheless, the roads and pavements in most cities are in dilapidated condition plus overpopulation as these problems trigger the needs of governments to inject fund into road maintenance, and possibly expands the road networks. In fact, the rise in urban dwellers is diminishing the availability of land use due to its scarcity, and worse condition looms as the severe traffic congestion occurs. Besides, the ultra-population among urban cities is unable to be accommodated even though via expansion of roadways as it may impact on environmental aspect such as increase in CO2 concentration among mega cities. As consequence, it affects the environmental sustainability; thus, the opportunity is presented for the public to prefer public transport soon and later.

On the account of reaping the advantages of using public transport, in fact, governments should prioritise their action on upgrading the overall facilities of public transit. This can be done by increasing the frequency of rails and buses to fetch passengers as more feasibility of public transit will encourage the willingness of public citizens to use them for transportation purpose. For instance, there are free bus feeders available in Klang Valley especially the residential area to enable the residents to head towards nearby railway station. In the meantime, the traffic congestion problem will significantly relieved due to more people shift to public transport. Furthermore, the efficient public transport would play an integral role in alleviating the environmental hazard and public transport adoption should be promoted as one of the decarbonisation efforts. Ultimately, effect of climate change will be subdued as whole if public transport is used extensively by citizens.

To sum up, governments should prop up their efforts in mitigating urbanisation problem by introducing efficiency into public transport system by increasing their funding. Based on these arguments, I support my view that more funds should be allotted in elevating the function of public transport.

More funds should be allotted to purchasing cars and other vehicles rather than relying on public transport as the main travel vehicle is constantly on the dilemma. From my viewpoint, I am not on the same page with this notion.

As the trend of urbanisation rises tremendously, many people tend to relocate to urban area provided that abundant job opportunities are available. Due to increasing population, the high frequency of urban mobility drives the traffic congestion significantly. Subsequently, this problem is further aggravated when most urban citizens prefer to buy motorcars or motorbikes as their mode of transportation on a convenience basis. As consequence, the exhaust gases and striking horning sounds due to the excessive use of physical vehicles result in various pollution such as noise pollution and air pollution. In the meantime, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere elevates, and because of that, people are suffering from physical and mental severances which pose heavy burden on the healthcare system. Therefore, the public transport use will curb the consumption of physical vehicles in further deteriorating environmental hazard.

Besides, the overconsumption of motorcars and motorcycles especially in metropolitan area may pose public citizens at risk to face hazardous road condition. As supporting fact, the fatality rate associated with car accidents surges upwards dramatically. For instance, in Bangkok, one person dies of car accident on average 20-minute interval. Thus, the alarming death rate should raise the awareness of people in using buses or trains as the alternative transport mode to mitigate the problem. Furthermore, the decrease of car or motorbikes transport will abate carbon unwaveringly besides has a profound impact on declining the mortality rate. This approach is believed to delay the overshooting target of 1.5 degrees Celsius increase in global temperature according to the Paris Agreement. Hence, the use of public transit system is certainly a feasible remedy in preserving environmental sustainability.

In conclusion, the advantages of using public transport are always outnumbering the adoption of physical vehicles for transportation purpose. To encourage this act, governments and policymakers should clean up their act in designing an effective policy to control numbers of cars and motorcycles on the road.
