The table illustrates the global consumption of the mobile phone market for producers between 2005 and 2006.

Overall, Nokia had the highest market share whereas the BenQ Mobile had the lowest percentage in the related market in 2005 and 2006.

It is clear that the market share of the other companies decreased 3 points within one year (from 19.2 to 16.2). BenQ Mobile lost almost half of the market shares just in 1 year. There was also a declining trend in Samsung and LG markets (12.7 to 11.8, and 6.7 to 6.3, respectively).

Sony Erickson, on the other hand, increased its market share by just more than 1 point. There was a critical rise in the market capacity of both Motorola and Nokia. Although Nokia had the highest share in the cell phone industry, Motorola did a great achievement by increasing its market share by more than 3 percent. It can be said that the winner of the cell phone industry did not change in a given period.
