Academic IELTS Writing Task 1 Topic : Paris Metro station passengers – Line Graph

Model answer 03: The line graph describes the number of passengers use the metro station during the day. The number of passengers reaches its peak twice a day that is 400 people. One is in the morning where people go to their work between 7:00 and 7:30. The other time is between 5:00 and 6:00 in the evening in which most of people return from work. In the morning around 6:00, the metro reaches its lowest number of passengers in which the number is only 100. Similarly, there’s a drop in the number at 3:30 pm and at 7:30 pm. Through the day, the number of passengers use the metro is tenuous. After 8 in the morning, there’s sharp drop where it reaches 200, then it rises again at 10:00 until it reaches 300 people at 11 a.m. The number remains the same for around three hours, then it faces another fall. Later at 8 in the evening, a noticeable increase after the huge drop to 100 to become twofold is followed by another drop at 10 p.m. (175 words)
