Many people assume that the goal of every country should be to produce more materials and goods. To what extent do you agree or disagree that constantly increasing production is an appropriate goal?

We all at some point of time have heard the saying ‘The earth is capable to serve everyone’s need but not greed’. Accordingly, I believe it is apt to agree that a country should produce to an extent which makes it self-sufficient and self-reliant.

Today, we live in a country where globalization has been a hallmark in creating economic prosperity. There is a constant exchange of goods and services among nations leading to more wealth creation. However, one should not disregard the fallouts of constantly increasing production of goods and services. To constantly increase production of goods and services, there is a burden of resources of a country such as labor and capital. Secondly, constant increase may also result in a over-production scenario i.e. the production is more than demand. In such a scenario, the cost of carrying inventory including inventory storage costs results in further additional burden on the country. Thirdly, a constant increase may result in diversion of resources i.e. resources may be directed to creating goods for the international consumers first and then for the local market thereby resulting in scarcity for the domestic consumer.

Given the above, it is important to highlight that constant increase in production would mean a constant demand for labor thereby creating more employment opportunities. Further, to constantly increase production, a wage worker can work overtime thereby creating potential for increase in disposable income of the public. This would result in more consumer spending by public in general thereby raising the overall standard of living of society.

Personally in my opinion, though there may be merits on both views, it is more rationale to produce goods to the extent it is required and not constantly raising production.

Many people presume that the motive of most countries should be to increase their production of goods, while others argue in contrast to that. The increasing manufacture of commodities is indispensable to meet the growing demands of people, but this reason alone is not enough to make it an appropriate target. This essay tends to discuss why I believe that manufacturing more materials is not a significant goal.

Firstly, producing more of a product than can be consumed creates waste which can exacerbate air pollution. Additionally, overproduction of materials would gradually cause depletion of natural resources. For example, more and more fossils fuels are being used up by large factories to make things. Excess paper manufacture causes deforestation hence loss of biodiversity.

Secondly, there are several others topics that deserve to be the first priority of a state. For instance, the money and time spent for making goods can be used for improving public transportation and constructing railways. This would facilitate the usage of public transport for commuting rather than private vehicles. Thus it would greatly reduce our carbon footprints and eventually ease global warming. These resources can also be used for protecting wildlife, such as by building Wildlife Sanctuaries, which is necessary to maintain ecological balance. In short, these resources can be used for the betterment of the environment and mankind.

To conclude, although some commodities are needed for our day to day lives, we should limit the creation of those things as excessive manufacturing has several drawbacks. Therefore , I strongly disagree with the statement.

Many people share the perspective that the goal of every country should be to produce more materials and goods. While others might argue in contrast to that and that is because some believe that there are other factors like quality of living which must be taken into consideration by a country. On the other side, people supporting the production of resources have a mindset that it is the key to make a country more developed. In this essay, I will discuss both sides. In my opinion, I firmly agree that a nation’s goal should be to manufacture more goods.
To begin with, manufacturing items in the province is like climbing the ladder of development. This is because exporting commodities is a major factor when it comes to the development and power of a nation. For instance, if a land wants to buy resources like phones or any other sorts of things manufactured in other states then it needs to pay an ample amount of duty taxes and shipping charges to that very province. In other words, we are all aware that any products made in the US or China if brought to India or provinces similar to that need to pay heavy duty taxes. That’s why states find it more profitable to produce their own products.
On the contrary, apart from making materials, a nation must take care of other factors like the quality of living. It is every state’s duty to look after its folks along with its development. To put it more simply, the focus should also be on things like recession problems, accommodation and congestion in the city. Appropriate measures must be taken like creating job opportunities for unemployed folks, constructing new buildings and rails.
To conclude, the factors portrayed by two different perspectives of people are justifiable and must be taken into consideration. But it is very important for a province to be developed enough to support its population. As mentioned earlier in the essay, I hold the view that every state should make more goods and materials so that they can progress.

People believe that a country’s aim should be in increasing the productivity of its goods and materials. I am totally inclined to this thought as with increasing population, demand for products also increases globally. To meet this global requirement, enhanced productivity is mandatory.

Each country is known for its own native cultivations which could be exported to other countries where the particular products are in deficit. For example Cuba being the leading Sugar producer in the world supplies it across the North American countries which is a major source of economy for the Cuban government. Likewise, India is blessed with numerous products like silk sarees, rice, etc. which they export and consume within. Each year their manufacturing capacity is being scaled up to meet the rising demands.

Additionally, there are a lot of perks to the increased productivity. It helps building the countries economy and projects a great image to it. Apart from that it also provides employment and opportunities to its citizens which might increase the per capita income as well. The Middle eastern countries have plenty of oil resources which has revolutionized the lives of their citizens who either work in their production or hold a share in it. As the automobile industry is budding, the demand for the oil never ceases. Hence its productivity will always be ramped up rather than saturating to an extent.

In conclusion, I believe that a country should target for an increased productivity of its products which will improve not only its economy but also the growing needs of global population.
