The Immigration Level Plan, released on Monday, states that in 2022, the government plans to invite more than 431,000 permanent residents.
It has also been indicated that there has been an increase in the number of invitations scheduled for the next two years.
Previously, the fixed numbers of invitations were decided to be 411,000 in 2023 and 421,000 in 2024, which has now increased to 447,000 and 451,000 respectively.
Besides this, IRCC also aims to increase the normal Express Entry admissions levels by 2024, which has been cut in half for this year.
