Confused about writing the perfect examples for your supporting points in IELTS Writing Task 2 essays? Let’s exclusively learn about it now!

Did you know that there are 3 main tricks to provide “Examples” in your IELTS Writing Task 2 Essays?

  1. Relevance
  2. Clarity
  3. Variety

Relevance🔎

Ensure examples directly support your main point and are relevant to the essay question.

Let’s see an example of a ‘relevant example’ in the next slide!

Example🔎

When discussing the benefits of renewable energy, a relevant example could be,
“Germany's successful transition to solar and wind power, supporting the idea that green technologies can replace traditional sources.”

Clarity🧐
Clearly explain how the example relates to your argument, avoiding ambiguity.

Example🧐

Instead of a vague statement like "Many countries face economic challenges,"

Write, "In 2020, Argentina experienced a severe economic downturn due to factors like inflation and debt."

Variety💯

Include diverse examples from personal experience, history, literature, or current events.

Mix personal and global examples.

Example💯

Eg: while discussing the impact of social media, mention both a personal experience and a broader example, like the role of Twitter in the Arab Spring.
