How to Put Examples in Your Essay

Examples make your writing engaging. But if you want to know how to use them effectively, follow this story.
In Writing Task 2, you need to elaborate on a given topic with arguments and opinions. Examples help you to provide enough support to the ideas you have presented.
When you support your topic sentence or main idea with an example, the whole argument becomes stronger.
Place after Topic Sentence
Although it is not compulsory to add examples, it adds development to your well-organized response.
Add Development to the response
Your examples should be realistic, reference from newspapers, magazines or valid sources and paraphrase quotes. They can be personal but should not be casual.
Types of Example to be used
An example can contain a company name, a university name, a study, a newspaper name, or a location. Avoid using numbers or statistics.
Constituents of examples
In case you are using examples, make sure to place a linker like 'for example', 'such as', 'namely', 'to illustrate', etc.
