You get your results in an IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) 13 days after the exam. You can also preview the test scores on the IELTS site a week post the test.
You get 1 copy of the TRF for personal use and 5 for sending to preferred universities. So, pick the recipients either while registering or after getting your scores.
How to send test results?
The mode of sending your score (post, courier, or electronically) varies from university to university.

You can request extra TRFs (ATRFs) more than one month after taking the test if you wish to submit your score to more than five institutions.
Sending through the post will cost INR 400 for each university. Neither the British Council nor IDP is liable for the delivery of each form.
Sending through courier will cost INR 1500 for each ATRF. Once dispatched, you’ll get a tracking number.
Sending TRFs via electronic mediums is free. But, you will be charged INR 250 for every Additional TRF(ATRF).
