IELTS has two types: Academic & General, while PTE is available only as Academic. Yet, IELTS and OET have four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking.
More than 10,000 organizations accept IELTS, but PTE is accepted by around 1000 organizations, preferably in Australia.
In IELTS, you can skip the questions and come back later to answer them, whereas, in PTE, it is not possible. You have to answer the current to move forward.
IELTS result comes in 13 days for paper-based and 3-5 days for computer-based. On the other hand, the PTE result takes only 5 days to be declared.
