Indian students will be able to retake individual modules in the IELTS

Presently, an IELTS candidate must retake the entire test—listening, reading, speaking, and writing—if they are unhappy with any module score.

IELTS IDP Education introduced the pilot project, "One Skill Retake", in November 2022 in Australia.
With this project, the candidate can retake a specific module in which he/she is unsatisfied instead of taking the entire test.
In India, this project will be introduced in March 2023.

It will lessen the preparation pressure and fast-track the result processing.
Information such as the cost of retaking the modules or the number of times a student can opt for a retake is yet to be released.
