Does the pronunciation of some difficult words get on your nerves? We are here to help you through this story.
In simple words, pronunciation is the way in which words or sentences are spoken. In IELTS Speaking, it constitutes 25% of the overall score.
The importance of pronunciation is not only limited to IELTS Speaking but is also crucial for Listening as you need to understand the speech in the audio.
While syllable is the units with a vowel, phonemes are the smallest pronunciation unit. Like, water has two syllables (wa-ter) but has four phonemes (w/a/t/er).
So, whenever there is a large or difficult word, break them into syllables or phonemes to pronounce it easily.
Other than these two, stress and intonation also have an impact on your pronunciation.
