When should you use 'For'?

"For" is a preposition that connects words or phrases to show their relationship.

It can also function as a
conjunction, adverb, or noun.
For support: indicating agreement, allegiance, or favor toward something.

E.g.: I am here
for you during this difficult time.
For representation: showing an action on behalf of or representing something else.

E.g.: I am speaking
for the group.
For exchange: introducing the second part of a purchase, deal, or trade.

E.g.: I traded my bicycle
for his skateboard.
For length: indicating length of time or distance.

E.g.: I have been waiting
for two hours.
For gratitude: showing thanks or gratitude.

E.g.: Thank you
for your help.
