Do more listening than talking!
This rule applies only when you are preparing for IELTS Listening. It is said to be the easiest of all four. So, if you want to crack it, begin now.
Basic facts and more.
Within 30 minutes, you must complete 40 questions by listening to the audio only once. No worries, you do not need superpowers, just some tricks and good practice.
Learn by listening every day
Your ears may not be accustomed to diverse English accents. So, make it a habit to hear news, songs and watch movies without subtitles on a daily basis.
Look before you begin!
It is wise to use the reading time to go through the questions. It will help you get an idea about the word type and find out the correct answers from the audio.
Listen as if your life depends on it
Pay attention to the audio with utmost curiosity. If you get distracted, you might lose your one chance to find the answer as the audio will not be repeated.
Be steady and win the race
Do not hustle to note down the answer as it might be in the next sentence. Instead, listen carefully and use the 30 seconds at the end of each section to revise.
Stronger your lingo, easier to score
It would be best to enhance your vocabulary by learning new words daily. Consequently, you will understand the diverse ideas and elements discussed in the audio.
Don’t leave a blank.
As IELTS does not have negative markings, it is foolish to leave any question unanswered. Put in your best guess and you may achieve an extra score or two.
