Will the AIPP program get discontinued after December 31, 2021?

Yes, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program will end on December 31, 2021. After that date, no new provincial endorsements will be granted. You can apply for permanent residency through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot until March 5, 2022, if you hold a valid provincial certificate of endorsement.

Is it necessary to have a job offer to apply for AIPP?

Yes, candidates must have a job offer letter from a recognised employer in the Atlantic area in order to apply for the AIPP program.

What is an endorsement certificate?

Individuals who have been allowed to apply for permanent residency are issued endorsement certificates, which are basically letters from the province. In order to file a PR application, candidates must provide a copy of their endorsement certificate.

For how long are provincial endorsement certificates valid?

The validity of provincial endorsement certificates is limited to six months from the date of issue. Extensions for endorsement certificates are not available under the AIPP program.

How long does the AIPP program take to process?

AIPP programs are said to process more quickly than PNP programs. If you provide all of the necessary papers, your PR should be completed in about three months; however, CIC's average processing period is 6 to 4 months.
