Manitoba Experience Pathway
The Manitoba Work Experience Pathways is one of the immigration ways of Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream that is contained within a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). (Note: This skill is not yet open.)
OBJECTIVE
This specific stream is designed to target foreign nationals who have skilled work experience and are residing in Manitoba at the application time. Candidates who are nominated successfully through the Manitoba Work Experience Pathway will get an invitation to submit an official application for PR.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be considered for this program:
- Work experience, in connection to the province, is required.
- A valid job offer is needed.
- In terms of language proficiency, CLB 4 for NOC C or D, CLB 5 for all other NOC 0, A, or B, CLB 6 for Compulsory Trades, and CLB 7 for Regulated Occupations will be required
- Work experience of 6 months to 1 year is required in NOC 0, A, B, C or D.
Candidates are required to fulfill the following criteria:
- Should already be living in Manitoba and working for an employer with a valid work permit
- Should have a job offer from their employer for a permanent, full-time position
- Must submit a settlement plan that defines the plan of candidates for establishing a life in Manitoba.
Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
One of the immigration streams of the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Category, the Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway targets those foreign nationals who have been interviewed outside Canada by the MPNP and a potential employer.
OBJECTIVE
Candidates who are nominated through the Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway get an invitation to submit an official application for PR in Canada. The stream uses the MPNP Ranking System to rank potential candidates.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A valid job offer
- In terms of language proficiency, CLB 4 for NOC C or D, CLB 5 for all other NOC 0, A, or B, CLB 6 for Compulsory Trades, and CLB 7 for Regulated Occupations will be required.
- Work experience of 2 years in NOC 0, A, B, C or D.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must have been a part of a recruitment session outside of Canada with MPNP
- Must have attended an interview with an employer from Manitoba and MPNP officials
- Must have an official offer letter for full-time, permanent employment
Skilled Workers Overseas
This Skilled Workers Overseas is a part of the Manitoba Skilled Worker pathway. It targets such foreign nationals who carry the foreign work experience and skills needed to contribute to the labour force of Manitoba.
OBJECTIVE
Candidates who have an active Express Entry profile, adequate skills and foreign work experience get invited under this stream. However, it is highly competitive, and only the ones with satisfactory experience in the in-demand skills of Manitoba get nominated.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Adequate skills and foreign work experience that can contribute to Manitoba’s economy
- An Expression of Interest (EOI) should be submitted
- At least 60 points on the MPNP Points Assessment Grid.
Under this pathway, there are two varying streams as well, such as:
- Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
- Manitoba Human Capital Pathway
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway is a Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas stream. It targets those foreign nationals who have an active Express Entry profile and skills as well as foreign work experience needed to contribute to the labour force.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this stream is to invite successfully nominated candidates to submit an official application for their permanent residency in Canada. The stream uses MPNP Ranking System to rank individuals.
REQUIREMENTS
- An active express entry profile
- There should be a connection to the province, either through a relative, friend or should have attended a strategic recruitment initiative
- CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A and CLB 6 for NOC B in language proficiency
- One-year post secondary education level
- A minimum of 6 months of work experience in an in-demand occupation
Manitoba Human Capital Pathway
This is another stream of Skilled Workers Overseas. It targets those foreigners who carry adequate skills and foreign work experience to contribute to the labour force of this province.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this stream is to invite successfully nominated candidates to submit an official application for their permanent residency in Canada. The stream uses the MPNP Ranking System to rank individuals.
REQUIREMENTS
- There should be a connection to the province, either through a relative, education, work or should have attended a strategic recruitment initiative
- A minimum of CLB 7 for regulated occupations, CLB 6 for compulsory trades and CLB 5 for all of the NOC 0, A or B in language proficiency
- One-year post secondary education experience
- A minimum of 6 months of work experience in an in-demand occupation
How to apply for Manitoba skilled worker programs?
If you wish to apply for Manitoba skilled worker programs, you must keep in mind that these streams are not open presently. The criteria will come into effect once MPNP online systems are updated. Also, know that merely meeting the minimum eligibility requirement doesn’t guarantee migration success. Candidates will be ranked against each other through the MPNP Ranking System, and only the most competitive ones will get to submit their applications.
