Are you confused about the various programs to immigrate to Canada?
Do you want to know more about the immigration process and the difference between the three Express Entry programs?
To avoid this misunderstanding and rejections, familiarise yourself with the differences between the three types of Express Entry programs.
Express Entry Canada
Express Entry is the most common route for skilled workers to come to Canada. IRCC manages the application process received through the application management system (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada). The Canadian federal government determines the candidate’s eligibility for the three Express Entry programs. The CRS points-based method is used to rate the applicants. Every two weeks, eligible individuals are asked to apply for immigration to Canada.
The 3 programs managed under Express Entry are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The Comparison of all 3 programs:

What is CRS Score?
Your profile is rated, and your CRS scores are determined when you register for the Express Entry program. The Comprehensive Ranking Method (CRS) is a point-based system used by the Canadian government to evaluate and score each express entry candidate’s application.
The CRS is determined by a candidate’s age, work experience, education, language competence, and a variety of other criteria. The CRS includes setpoints of 600 and additional 600 points. A total of 1,200 points are used to determine the final score. CEC candidates must have a CRS of at least 403 points to be invited to CEC draws.
