Provincial Nominee Program is abbreviated as PNP. This program is in charge of 13 provinces and three territories’ applications. It nominates persons with relevant abilities, education, and job experience and those who can contribute to the economic growth of the particular province.

What does NSNP mean?

The 13 participating provinces of Canada have their own PNP programs. Similarly, Nova Scotia conducts its own Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program to select skilled foreign national candidates. They must be interested in settling in the province of Nova Scotia and contributing to its economy.

Information about the Nova Scotia PNP draw

The Nova Scotia PNP draw is a pooling mechanism that gathers people from the Express Entry Pool and invites them to live and work in Nova Scotia. The applications chosen using a point-based approach must satisfy the minimal cut-off scores to be considered.

The drawings are also known as letters of interest by many people. Those who get a letter of interest must apply for a PR within 60 days of receiving it. Express Entry candidates who successfully obtain a provincial nomination will receive 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] score.

A job offer that includes your title and responsibilities for the position, the position’s NOC Code, yearly pay, weekly hours worked, term of the employment offer, work address, and whether the position is unionized. If it is, include a letter from the union expressing their agreement.

PROGRAMS	PURPOSE	NOVA SCOTIA PNP REQUIREMENTS
Nova Scotia PNP Demand Express Entry	This program was introduced in 2015. This program is introduced for skilled foreign workers who have the minimum required education qualification and desire to settle in Nova Scotia.	The eligibility criteria for this program are similar to other Express Entry programs. You are expected to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100. Besides that, you must have one year of full-time experience within the last five years and demonstrate English/French language fluency with a minimum of NCLC/CLB7. Nova Scotia PNP Experience Express Entry	It is for applicants who have already worked in the province of Nova Scotia for at least 1 year and wish to become a Permanent Resident of the region.	In order to be eligible for this program, you should have 1 year of full-time experience gained within 3 years before applying. Also, you must have a valid work permit to settle in the province. You must have obtained the ECA or have graduated from a Canadian high school.
Nova Scotia Skilled Worker Program	This initiative aims to attract foreign nationals with certain abilities that are hard to come by in Nova Scotia. It is further segmented into several programs to meet people’s diverse needs. Worker classifications include Skilled, Semi-Skilled, and Low-Skilled.	You should have gained the required experience in NOC Level 0, A, B or C. Candidates between the ages of 21 and 55 have a better probability of being chosen. A permanent job letter from a Nova Scotia recruiter is also required. Besides that, you must achieve the appropriate CLB/ NCLC score in English or French. You should be a high school graduate.
Nova Scotia International Graduate Stream	It is intended for students who have just graduated from Nova Scotia institutions and have received a full-time permanent job offer from one of Nova Scotia’s recruiters.	Individuals who wish to apply for this program should have studied in Nova Scotia for one year and should have gained an employment offer from Nova Scotia. Besides that, individuals also need to meet the required language, age, education, and work experience requirements.
Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Program	It is for entrepreneurs who want to start a business while simultaneously planning to settle in the Nova Scotia region.	Applicants who are interested in this program should have a personal net worth of 400,000 Canadian dollars. Along with that, you should be willing to invest 150,000 Canadian dollars. Also, you have to obtain 2 years of work permit.
Nova Scotia Physician Program	This stream was established to recruit health professionals to work in the province, such as general practitioners, family physicians, and specialists. With the support of two medical authorities, the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre, the Physician Stream allows educated medical professionals to become permanent citizens of Nova Scotia.	Physicians interested in applying for this position should have a work offer from the Nova Scotia health authority. Besides that, you are required to have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field. And you should be ready to stay in Nova Scotia for at least 2 years.
