Ontario Immigration

The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) is meant to support employers by facilitating the immigration of professional, managerial and skilled foreign workers and international students needed to meet the requirements of human resources. The OINP is functioning in partnership with the Federal Immigration Department, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Furthermore, it is divided into varying streams as well:

CATEGORY	PURPOSE
Human Capital Category	This stream allows OINP to nominate individuals who have the education, work experience and skills to contribute to the economy and labour market of Ontario.
Employer Job Offer Category	Interested individuals can apply under this stream, if they have a full-time indeterminate job offer from an Ontario employer.
Business Category	The Business immigration program comprises one immigration stream that is directed to applicants with a successful business background.

Requirements for the list of programs provided by Ontario

Human Capital Category	Candidates should have an express entry profile Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in French or English and NCLC/CLB 7 is required in language proficiency Level of education should be equivalent to Canadian bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree A minimum CRS score of 400 or more. Candidates should meet the settlement funds requirement as established by Imigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Employer Job Offer Category	Candidates should have achieved either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree. Candidates should have a valid job offer from an Ontario-based organization Both the candidate and the employer should meet certain requirements. Proof of funds must be demonstrated.
Business Category	The candidate should be operating an Ontario-based business for at least 24 months of the last 60 months. CLB 4 in English language proficiency is a must The candidate should be able to invest $200,000 CAD The candidate should have a personal net worth of $400,000 CAD

How to immigrate to the province of Ontario?

Step 1: You would first have to choose a stream under which you want to apply for Ontario immigration.

Step 2: Once done, ensure that you meet all of the mandatory requirements for that specific stream.

Step 3: Before applying, you will have to create a profile in the relevant system for your stream. Profiles will get ranked as per the scoring system.

Step 4: In case you have received a notification of interest or an invitation to apply, you can apply to be nominated by the OINP.

Step 5: If your application is successful and you have been nominated by the OINP, you can then move ahead to apply for the permanent residence through IRCC.
