Canada Federal Skilled Worker Program Petition Process – Requirements, Procedure and Charges

FSW Program Petition Process requirements 

Eligible Federal Skilled Workers must achieve a minimum score of 67 points when being assessed across the 6 selection criteria provided below:

1. Education: You must fulfill the minimum requirements for the education criteria, and a maximum of 25 points are awarded for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program.
2. Language Skills: You must qualify and get a minimum necessary score in one of Canada’s two official languages. A maximum of 28 points are awarded for language skills.
3. Work Experience: In order to score in this area, you must have a minimum of 1,560 hours of paid work experience obtained in the past ten years. Work experience is worth a maximum of 15 points.
4. Age: Age plays a significant factor in determining Express Entry points, with the 18-35 age group receiving the most. A maximum of 12 points are awarded for age.
5. Arranged Employment:  If you are able to find work in Canada, you may be eligible for up to 10 points for arranged employment.
6. Adaptability: You can also receive additional points for Canadian Immigration, depending on the CRS score of your spouse or common-law partner and other additional factors such as relatives in Canada who are Canadian citizens or PR holders. A maximum of 10 points are allotted for adaptability.

It’s essential to note that Express Entry scores are not the same as the Express Entry CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score. However, CRS scores are used for the Express Entry Draws.

Skilled Worker candidates must also show that they have adequate settlement money to sustain themselves and their families after they arrive in Canada, according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The Canadian immigration application procedure also necessitates medical tests and police verification certifications.

Those interested in registering for the FSW program must first register on the IRCC website for the Express Entry application.
