Ontario is one of the most popular destinations for immigrants. The metropolitan atmosphere and natural beauty are two reasons people decide to immigrate to the province. Lakes, a variety of natural parks, and local wildlife make up the province’s natural beauty.
The other biggest appeal of the province is its healthcare facilities and low cost of living. The province of Ontario also provides a reasonably efficient and economical mode of transportation because the majority of the workforce is highly reliant on public transit.
How to apply for the Ontario PNP program?
In order to apply for the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program, you must first choose the most appropriate OINP stream that best matches your interests. After that, you must submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to OINP. Following that, your application will be moved into a draw, where the immigration authorities only select top-ranking candidates for ITA. You can only apply for PR if you receive an Invitation to Apply.
What is the next process after receiving ITA?
You can submit an online application to the OINP under the program for which your invitation to apply was issued once you get nominated. You have 90 days from the time you receive the notification of interest to submit your application.
However, you must complete the application’s criteria and submit the required documentation in order to get permanent residency in Ontario.
What is exactly the OINP draw?
The PNP draw is a pooling method in which candidates are shortlisted for PR. Only through PR can you live, work, and settle in the province of Ontario. However, candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility requirements for the respective program for which they intend to apply.
How many nomination certificates are issued by the authorities of Ontario?
It is only via the nomination procedure that the candidates get the opportunity to settle in a specific province. IRCC allows each province to run its own immigration program. Each province is allowed only to nominate a specific number of applications. The government of Ontario is permitted to issue a maximum of 10,000 permanent resident nomination certificates. The government of Ontario awarded 8,350 nomination certificates for permanent residents and about 250 nomination certificates for temporary employees till November 10th, 2021.
How does the OINP draw work?
The framework of the program, as well as its own set of criteria, defines the cut-off for each nomination. The CRS score is used to determine the candidate’s selection in the OINP draw. The documents submitted by the applicant also significantly impact the CRS ranking.
