Describe your favorite book.
- What is the name of this book, and who the author is?
- How did you first hear of the book?
- What is the main story of the book?
Every individual has a favorite book, and it becomes our favorite book when we indulge ourselves wholly in the plot and twist of that book. When we are so profoundly tangled in the characters and the book’s plot, the reality seems like a hallucination, or the life we imagine would exist in the real world.
The book that I treasure is the “Harry Potter” series. It is not a single book but a series of seven novels. I have savored all of these books, and some of them even more than once. The author of these books is world-famous British author J. K. Rowling. Born Joanne Rowling in 1965 in England, she is an author, philanthropist, producer, and screenwriter. I first heard about it from my elder brother as he is a voracious reader and incepted me to these books of the wizardly world.
The book series revolves around a young boy, Harry Potter, who was oblivious of being a destined wizard, receives a letter, goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, develops his magical power, learns skills, and becomes one of the greatest magicians ever. Harry struggles against a dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, who wants to rule over the world. Harry Potter, along with his allies, overthrows and defeats Lord Voldemort in the end. This book is a rollercoaster of so many emotions. It is my favorite book as it swipes me away from the complexities of the real world and makes us believe that magic is everywhere.
