Sample Answer 1
- what you were doing
- when you looked at the sky
- who you were with
A couple of months back, I was pumped up to go on a camping trip. I roped in my close friends. Together, the five of us visited the outskirts of the city for the weekend. Since living in the big city only has skyscrapers and pollution to offer. That is the reason why I planned a mini-trip to the peripheries of the city.
It was a full moon night. We had set up a small campfire and sat around it. We had taken a grill along that we used to grill potatoes and marshmallows. We had also installed two camps near the bonfire. After having a fulfilling supper, we laid on the dewy grass and stared at the sky for hours altogether.
- what you saw
The full moon looked enthralling. It had a black, rainy cloud surrounding it. Looking at the sky, while we were thrilled, we also prayed that it shouldn’t rain. There were gazillions of stars twinkling around.
- and explain how you felt when you looked at the sky
Looking at the sky, I felt at peace. Unknowingly, my breathing was steady, and my body was relaxed. I had taken out all the thoughts from my mind, and it was blank. I was not thinking of anything. The moment was full of contentment.
Sample Answer 2
Here is the sample for “Describe a time when you looked at the sky” topic
- what you were doing
- when you looked at the sky
- who you were with
Last week, my friends and I decided to go camping on the outskirts for the weekend.
Living in a big city doesn’t offer me much of a chance to enjoy the sky at night because of the pollution, the lights, and the skyscrapers. That’s the reason why I liked this short trip so much because I could enjoy looking at the clear sky, searching for stars and observing the moon.
Luckily, there was a full moon that night. We made a small campfire and sat around the fire, grilled potatoes and marshmallows, happily chatting with each other.
- what you saw
- and explain how you felt when you looked at the sky
When the moon had risen high in the sky, we all looked up and started counting the stars. I had never seen so many stars in the sky as I did that night. They twinkled while the moon shone brightly. At that moment, I felt at peace. My mind was blank; I wasn’t thinking of anything else. All my sadness and disappointments disappeared. I was content at that moment.
