What did you make?
In school, we did a fun arts and crafts activity where we made colourful paper flowers. It was a simple yet enjoyable project that allowed us to be creative.
How did you make it?
For this activity, we used various coloured sheets of paper, scissors, glue, and markers. First, we cut out different shapes from the paper to create petals for our flowers. Then, we arranged the petals and glued them together to form the flower. After that, we added details like stems and leaves using green paper. Finally, we used markers to add designs and patterns to our flowers, making each one unique.
What did it look like?
The flowers I made kind of looked like sunflowers and daisies. I opted to learn to make them since my mother loved those two kinds.
And how did you feel about the activity?
I did this activity with my classmates in school and we sat together, chatting and helping each other out as we worked on our paper flowers. It was a collaborative effort, with everyone sharing ideas and tips on how to make our flowers look beautiful. Overall, it was an amazing experience that allowed us to express our creativity while also building our skill of teamwork!

What did you make?
During one of our art classes at school, we were taught about tie-dyeing. It was a vibrant and messy activity that allowed us to experiment with colours and patterns on fabric.
How did you make it?
For this, we were provided with plain white T-shirts and a variety of coloured fabric dyes. First, we dampened the T-shirts to prepare them for dyeing. Then, we twisted, folded, or bunched up sections of the fabric and secured them with rubber bands to create different patterns. Next, we dipped the T-shirts into the dye baths, carefully applying different colours to each section.
What did it look like?
It was exciting to see how the colours blended and spread across the fabric, creating unique and unpredictable patterns. My T-shirt had a mix of blue and purple which were my favorite colours. Some students opted for bold and vibrant colours, while others preferred more subtle ones.
And how did you feel about the activity?
Finally, when we rinsed the t-shirts thoroughly and removed the rubber bands to reveal our colourful creations, all of us had a huge smile on our faces. It was a messy yet enjoyable experience that allowed us to unleash our creativity and create wearable works of art!
