Sample Answer 1
Public speaking is one of many people’s worst anxieties. It’s tough, in my opinion, to engage with people in a way that makes them feel at ease and connected to you. I want to discuss a speech delivered by a UN Indian Ambassador to us at the national AIESEC convention. The speech was engaging, succinct, and educational.
The speech was delivered at the conference’s opening ceremony. He was making a lecture to inform us about the United Nations’ new sustainable development objectives for the good of the planet. He has served on an Indian body concerned with the country’s growth. He has been collaborating with the United Nations for the past five years. He began his journey as a former IIT Delhi cell volunteer. He also motivated us to work for the betterment of society, and his speech left me speechless. I realized the significance of empathy.
His remarks were full of inspiring examples and perspectives from individuals from all walks of life. He shared several anecdotes on compassion and empathy with us. He had put in a lot of effort to create a fantastic speech that was hilarious, well-researched, engaging, and heartfelt. He made us play this excellent ball game ice breaker, which greatly aided in better understanding the various delegates. It was a terrific way to get everyone involved and ‘break the ice,’ and the results were funny.
I thought the speech was excellent since it included everyone and provided amusing tales. It wasn’t too lengthy and also piqued our curiosity. The lecture provided insight into what great communication can do and how it may aid in pleasant interactions with others.
Sample Answer 2
Speeches are a powerful way to express your concerns, ideas, and thoughts. However, speeches are effective only when they get connected to the audience. Some people are really good at public speaking, while others aren’t. Therefore, being able to give an effective and impactful speech is an essential skill. Here, I’d like to talk about an occasion where my childhood pal, Alexis, delivered an impromptu speech that turned out to be efficacious. It was during my wedding where I asked Alexis to give an instant speech. Initially, she was startled as she was not used to giving a speech, and public speaking definitely scared the hell out of her, which I know for sure. But since it was my wedding, I wanted her to deliver the best wedding toast, and she finally agreed to the idea and took the mic. She began by introducing herself, spoke about our irreplaceable bond that has developed over the years, and congratulated me on my new journey. Subsequently, tears of joy were rolling down my cheeks, and it became a very emotional moment, and everyone praised her for delivering a killer wedding speech like a pro. I want to conclude by saying that the impromptu speech was the best gift from Alexis.
