Dipping your toes into new experiences seems exhilarating and intimidating at the same time. Trying out new activities can undoubtedly allow people to discover new sides of themselves as well as learn new skills or create fond memories. However, the fear of leaving one’s comfort zone and other such reasons may often hold people back from going forth and starting a new activity. In this regard, I would like to talk about something I have wanted to do for a long time but have not done it till date.
As an avid artist, I have enjoyed creating artwork for as long as I can remember. However, I have largely stuck to traditional media over the years, experimenting with various types of paints and other traditional art supplies like charcoal and ink. After years of doing traditional art, I want to try my hand at digital art for a change. Creating artwork through electronic means has gained popularity in recent years. Social media platforms have become a haven for digital art, with countless artists sharing their work online for people to enjoy. The versatility of digital art as a medium initially piqued my interest in it. From animation to comics, the sky is the limit with digital art. As an artist, I want to be able to explore the diverse range of artworks I can create with this medium. Exploring a new creative medium will be the perfect way to nurture my creative spirit.
There are two reasons I have not done digital art until now. One is that starting out as a digital artist can be a little pricey as one requires a tablet and a stylus of reasonably good quality to begin creating digital artwork. Secondly, having trained as a traditional artist for more than a decade, I am a little apprehensive about making the shift to a digital platform for my art. However, once I can save enough to invest in a good tablet and stylus, the possibility of me creating digital art will become a reality. When I can finally get the equipment, I will start by watching tutorials and taking a course, if possible. I will also ask a few of my artist friends who are already adept at digital art for tips to make it easier for me to adapt to the medium. I am sure that if I devote enough time and effort, I will definitely be able to flourish in my journey as a digital artist.

Trying new things is never an easy feat, and the pursuit of an activity you’ve never done before is bound to give you the jitters and can cause cold feet. However, knowing that trying new things enriches life experiences, one should go for it and try to reach that aim. What could be better than stepping outside of your comfort zone?
As an adrenaline junkie, I’ve always been interested in attempting new activities that give me an adrenaline rush and give me a new perspective on life. One of the adventurous sports on my bucket list is bungee jumping. I’ve always wanted to participate in this sports activity since it would allow me to overcome and conquer my fear of heights and let me live life on the edge. The sport is fascinating and worth attempting as it offers just the right amount of danger and excitement. Furthermore, diving into the vast space will be an exhilarating way to feed my adventurous spirit.
Well, very few spots in the Northern region of my country are popular for offering the highest bungee jumping experience to adventure seekers. So, I planned to try this ultimate exciting sport during my vacation last year; however, the pandemic intervened and ruined my plans. But now, I’ve decided to visit the north and enjoy the adrenaline rush during bungee jumping once the pandemic gets over, travel restrictions are lifted, and life gets back to normal.
