IELTS General Writing Task 1 Practice Test 24

Your child’s school is going for a trip out of the country for 3 days and a parent is allowed to join the group. Write a letter to school. In your letter, you should:

• ask questions about the trip
• tell them why you want to join the group
• explain how you can help.

Sample Letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am penning down this letter to enquire about the trip to Dubai, which your school is organizing. Along with that, I would like to express my interest in the trip and lend a helping hand in preparations.

I wonder if you could help me with exact dates of the trip. And, kindly let me know the activities that are already planned so I can look into my interests accordingly. Researching on the internet, I got to know that desert safari is one of the activities that should be done by every tourist. So, I would like to know if the school is planning for the same.

I have always wanted to visit Dubai but never got a chance because of my work commitments. I hold some experience in organizing trips. So, if you would need any help, be it booking tickets or arranging the accommodation, I will always be there.
