- What book is it?
The book that I treasure the most is the “Harry Potter” series. It is not a single book but a series of seven novels. I have savoured all of these books, and some of them even more than once.
- Who wrote this book?
The author of these books is world-famous British author J. K. Rowling. Born Joanne Rowling in 1965 in England, she is an author, philanthropist, producer, and screenwriter. I first heard about it from my elder brother as he is a voracious reader and incepted me to these books of the wizardly world.
- What is it about?
The book series revolves around a young boy, Harry Potter, who was oblivious of being a destined wizard, receives a letter, goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, develops his magical power, learns skills, and becomes one of the greatest magicians ever. Harry struggles against a dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, who wants to rule over the world. Harry Potter, along with his allies, overthrows and defeats Lord Voldemort in the end.
- Explain why this is your favourite book.
This book is a rollercoaster of so many emotions. It is my favourite book as it swipes me away from the complexities of the real world and makes us believe that magic is everywhere.
