Sample Answer 1
I don’t know about others, but I think I have met a good share of people I liked. However, I do occasionally come across people that I detest. During my recent journey to Pune from Kolkata, I met one such individual. His name was Harvinder, and he was sitting next to me on the plane.
I was travelling to Pune from Kolkata at the time for some essential official business. I was fatigued and wanted to take a rest on the flight. Harvinder walked over and sat next to me as I settled into my seat. When he approached me and introduced himself, I was going to plug in the earbuds. He said that this was his first flight and that he might need my help fastening the seat belt. I assisted him and informed him that he might contact the cabin staff at any time for assistance by pressing the call stewardess button, which is usually located in the overhead console.
However, for some reason, he felt compelled to talk to me. For instance, he decided to get some dinner for himself and woke me up to inquire about my opinion. He then proceeded to tell me several anecdotes about himself. Further, he even asked me before going to the loo, which I found amusing. I was frustrated and annoyed because I wanted to rest and relax for a bit. But I didn’t show it to him since he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about his first airplane flight and wanted to make the most of it.
Sample Answer 2
Travelling is my passion and in fact, meeting new people is my favourite aspect of travel. I’ve had incredible experiences meeting new people, and I think that I have met my share of good people who have been very kind and helpful to me. Recently, I was on a road trip to the perfect paradise, Ladakh. On my way, I found another fellow traveller, who’s motorbike had been punctured in the middle of nowhere. As a traveller myself, I knew how hard it was to wait for a vehicle under the scorching heat. Therefore, I decided to give the man a free ride on my bike. Initially, he showed some signs which I didn’t recognize clearly .
After passing a few miles, we stopped for a break at a small shop. Since I was a very open-minded person, I decided to interact with him and started inquiring about him. For every question, he either answered in sign language or actions. I was perplexed. Finally, he asked for my mobile number and sent me a message saying that he’s dumb. That was when I realized how foolish I was not to understand his sign language. But then he texted, saying such incidents usually happen with him. He introduced himself as George, and he was a seasonal worker in Alaska who spent half of his time travelling. He was carefree, passionate and loved wandering around. I was astonished when he started describing his travel experiences. He seemed to have gone on more road trips than me. What I liked the most about him was that George didn’t let his disability affect his passion for travelling, and it was one of the best road trips, and he was one of the best travellers I’ve met.
