Describe something kind that someone did for you
You should say:
- who this person was
- where and when it happened
- what s/he did for you
- and explain how you felt about it
The person was a friend of mine since we were young. Her name is Sarah. Once, Sarah and I were walking along the street when we passed a beautiful boutique that had displayed some jewellery through the glass window. A particular pair of earrings caught my eye – they were beautiful, shaped like two leaves, and made of intricate gold wires. They were dainty but extremely beautiful. Having already spent more than I intended to on that day, I continued walking back home with my friend. Nearly a month later, on my birthday, my friend gave me a gift. It was a small black velvet box and when I opened it I was stunned! It was the same pair of earrings we saw outside the boutique. She told me she saw me looking at them, and since this was the last year we would be celebrating birthdays together before going off to university, she wanted to buy me something special. Although it wasn’t a grand gesture, I felt it was so thoughtful and kind of her not only to notice but to also remember and buy the earrings for me as a present. I still have those earrings with me, and every time I look at them, I am reminded of the love and affection behind their purchase.
