Sample Essay
The trend of purchasing items from well-known brands is the primary topic in today’s society. It happened due to the rising demand for high-quality products and the need to express themselves in society. The following essay will discuss famous brands, which are the top concern.
In general, famous brands are higher in quality than generic brands. The generics attempt to copy the renowned brand but don’t perform properly or break down sooner than the upscale version. Thus, while famous brands cost more, they are better products. Moreover, as the living standard improves, people aim to make their lives more sophisticated than ever before. Their demands for food and shelter are already fulfilled, and a desire to express themselves seems to replace their basic needs. Consequently, they seek to flaunt the branded products as they represent a high standard of living. Additionally, the masses buy branded materialistic things to parade and gloat in front of their friends and relatives. Besides, many youngsters try to imitate different celebrities from the entertainment and sports industry since if their favourite superstars promote any brand, they certainly want to buy that specific product.
Regardless, this trend has many negative effects. Firstly, many people become frustrated as they are not able to afford these brands and keep them at par with their peers. Further, developing famous brands can hinder local brands from growing. Consequently, it leads to bankruptcy because they cannot earn enough profit to maintain it. Fortunately, it can become the motivation for local brands. It boosts them to ameliorate their quality of products to ensure healthy competitiveness against the other brands, but also customers are less to worry about a low-quality product.
In conclusion, different people have different buying behaviours, depending on many aspects. For example, some see the quality, while others see brand identity. Although branded products are better in quality and style, not everyone can buy them.
