The Pearson Language Test (PTE) is the most prestigious PTE test for non-native English speakers to demonstrate English competence for academic admittance into overseas universities/colleges, employment, or visa purposes. The Graduate Management Admission Council has approved PTE Academic. PTE Academic results are accepted by a number of colleges, including London Business School in the United Kingdom, Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Yale University in the United States. Other nations’ institutions, like Spain, France, and China, have also agreed to accept PTE Academic.
PTE can be taken all year and offered in 3 varieties –
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic
- PTE General (earlier called the London Tests of English)
- PTE Young Learners
When the PTE exam was first made accessible, it was immediately accepted by over 6,000 organizations. For example, the Australia Border Agency and the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship have both authorized the test for use in visa applications. PTE-A is also accepted for visa applications to the United Kingdom and New Zealand. In order to save waiting times for students, the exam is often read by a computer rather than a human grader.
