Many students argue that studying abroad is the soundest method to get a high-quality education. However, some students think that repositioning to another country for studies has cons. I believe that both of these views are true based on different circumstances.
First, one benefit of studying abroad is that overseas students can encounter eclectic cultures and customs in diverse countries. It provides one the chance to cultivate their mind and delve into civilization in any country. For example, one can learn colloquial words or how society was formed. Furthermore, the qualifications gained abroad can open doors to more promising job opportunities as one can quickly acclimate to any working conditions after residing in an alien environment.
On the contrary, it can hardly be denied that there are some obstacles international students face while living in distant countries. The preliminary issue is that some students experience culture shock. It is because there is a mix of cultures, and people have dissimilar lifestyles. Moreover, many other things are contemplated unethical if a person mistakenly does something. For example, in Chinese culture, people have a tradition of placing chopsticks horizontally while eating. Leaving them in a bowl as it is, is considered unfortunate. Additionally, the language barrier can cause difficulties. For instance, lectures may be hard to understand if students don’t know how to communicate or interpret. As a result, it can be a hurdle to success.
To conclude, although there are certain drawbacks international students face, studying abroad can be wholesome for many.
