Sample Essay 1 on ‘Today's Children are Living under More Pressure’
In today’s fast-paced world, there is tremendous pressure on children from their parents, peers and society in general. Various studies have observed an increase in the anxiety level among children lately. So, it would not be wrong to agree that this has led to kids being under extreme pressure to match these high expectations.
The first and foremost pressure comes from their parents, who are struggling to raise successful kids. They enroll them in expensive private schools and extracurricular classes by going above and beyond their spending power. As a result, the parents always pressurize the child to outdo his peers and friends in class. This leads to kids being anxious about performing well in school and not settling for anything below an ‘A’. Secondly, there is usually pressure from all directions like friends, school, extracurricular activities and the impending future and career choices. Sometimes, youngsters also set very high benchmarks for themselves, leading to apprehension and depression.
Nevertheless, society is dynamic and keeps on changing. Compared to the bygone years, today’s children have more toys, electronic gadgets, and the opportunity to learn and express their views efficiently and effectively. Parents understand the building pressure and stress over their ward’s minds, so they help them choose their own hobbies to find their talent, which wasn’t very common in the past.
In conclusion, the time for parents to teach their young ones that success is not measured by money, fame or popularity; instead, it is about living one’s life with honesty and doing what one loves. It is about spending time with family and friends, following one’s passion, and just being happy about the person one becomes on this journey.

Sample Essay 2 on ‘Today's Children are Living under More Pressure’
In the present time, the youth has to deal with more societal pressure than the past generations. In my opinion, I completely agree with this notion for which I will provide my reasons in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, one of the main sources of stress in a child's life is the excessive expectations which parents put on them. Due to this, many children take drastic steps to achieve what their parents want in order to satisfy their needs. As a result, there are many situations which come into play such as being bullied at school and fierce competition. To illustrate, in Asian families, it is a common practice for the parents to persuade their children to take up medicine because that is a highly paid profession. To achieve their goals, the younger ones in the family have to go through years of education which puts them under heavy pressure, making them exposed to mental depression.
Moreover, the technological development process is accelerating at a higher rate. While the conflict of AI replacing humans are on the rise, the unemployment rates are surging at a higher rate. Due to this phenomenon, many children are steadily turning their attention towards learning digital tools with erudition. For instance, robotics and coding have become main subjects which have been introduced in primary school for students to develop their skills. Such early exposure is intended for the future generation to be well-versed in these abilities while making themselves prepare to thrive in the competitive world. However, this puts immense pressure on individuals as they need to focus on holistic skill development.
To conclude, a large number of individuals undergo both mental and physical problems due to unrealistic expectations from parents and the changing trend in the market which makes it quite difficult for children to sustain themselves.
