1 How has education changed in your country in the last 10 years?
Education in India has seen a mix of positive and negative changes over the last decade. While technological advancements and mental health awareness have increased, challenges related to inequality and competitive pressures persist. As a high school student, I hope to see improvements in the education system that address these issues and provide equal opportunities for all students.
2 What changes do you foresee in the next 50 years?
There are several changes I would like to see made to the education system over the next 50 years to serve students better and prepare them for the challenges of the future. I would like to see a shift toward more personalised learning. I also wish for a stronger focus on digital literacy, problem-solving, and adaptability. Finally, with the world becoming increasingly interconnected, I would like to see an education system that provides students with a global perspective.
3 How do the expectations of today’s school leavers compare with those of the previous generation?
Graduating students these days hope for a bright and prosperous future. They aspire for a fulfilling career that aligns with their passions and skills, aiming for financial independence and stability. They also wish to make a positive impact on the world.
4 What role do you think extracurricular activities play in education?
Extracurricular activities are an integral part of education that contribute to a well-rounded and enriched learning experience. They provide students with opportunities to develop skills and explore their interests. Such activities can help build character and prepare students for their future careers. Schools and parents should encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities that align with their interests and talents.
5 What method of learning works best for you?
I believe what works best for me is learning through activities. Instead of passively receiving information, I get to participate in something that helps me learn and makes learning more enjoyable. This approach bridges the gap between theory and practice. It allows students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the real world.
6 How beneficial do you think it is to group students according to their level of ability?
