- When did you hear?
- Where you heard it?
In the past few years, I have been hearing a lot of lectures. However, here, I would like to discuss the one that I lately heard on the topic of the environment while scrolling through YouTube. Almost two weeks back, tired of insomnia, I was mindlessly scrolling through my phone when I stumbled upon a link somewhere that led me to YouTube, and eventually to this lecture.
- What was it about?
- Who was the speaker?
This lecture was none other than Greta Thunberg – a young climate activist and she was speaking on the occasion of the Climate Action Summit back in 2019. In the video, she seemed aggressive because of the fact that people are suffering because of environmental changes. The pain was visible on her face.
- Explain why you think it was interesting?
Also, in the video, she seems to be questioning the audacity of those claiming to accomplish economic growth while the world has started toward mass extinction. After watching the entire video, I realized how humans are walking down the wrong path.
Everywhere, be it because of the pandemic, forest fires or any other reason, the world is giving us grave signs, but we are ignoring them consistently. If everything continues, the day is not far behind when there will be no human species left on the earth.
I understood the value of mother nature and how we must preserve it. I guess it’s high time people should understand the same.
