Sample Answer:
Dear Mr Schrute,
I am writing this letter to convey the problems I’m facing with the living accommodation that the college provided for me.
I’m currently pursuing my English degree here and living in the accommodation provided by the college. While the accommodation rooms are spacious and well-maintained, my roommate and me, our room being in the East block, face noise pollution problems, as there is construction going on right outside our window. The construction work starts right after sunset and goes on till late night which makes it difficult to concentrate on my work. Due to the disturbance, I now take more time to do my work, hence leading to work being piled up.
I would like to request a change of room, preferably to a room in the West block, where there is less noise, as it’ll make it easier for me to focus on my work then. It would be very helpful if this transfer of accommodation can happen as soon as possible
I look forward to receiving your reply.
Yours Sincerely,
James Charles

Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request you for a change in my college room. The current accomodation provided to me is not satisfactory and has a number of unaddressed issues.
Firstly, the accomodation space is too small for two individuals to adjust. Due to such space constraints, it is possible for only one of us to use the study table at a time. The restricted space creates even more problem when we need to work on respective group projects. The group projects require a lot of brainstorming and discussions among students even go upto late nights. This specially creates a lot of hindrance for me on working my set of assignments as I am unable to focus because of a lot of activity going in the background. Apart from this, relative to a number of other apartments, the said apartment is not well-maintained as we face a lot of leakage issues during rain plus there are frequent fall outs of the wall plaster.
I hope you understand that college is a place for our learning and I firmly believe that the discomfort caused by the accomodation is perhaps hampering my learning curve. Therefore, I request you to change my accomodation preferably to a one which is slightly bigger in space than the current one. In case this is not possible, may I ask you if it was feasible to hand me an accomodation which is not required to be shared. I would be grateful if any of the said alternative options can be considered and a new room be provided to me.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Nikhil
