Sample Answer 1 on ‘Managing Global Environmental Issues Should be Handled’
In the present day and age, people are facing greater environmental problems on a larger scale than in the past. Therefore, several people opine that environmental issues should be dealt with by a unitary global organisation rather than dispersed efforts from small groups. However, I disagree with this notion and will expand on my views in the following essay.
Firstly, constructive action to mitigate the environmental problems arising today must originate at a very small scale level in order for the change to be felt by people at the grassroots level. Encouraging people to take individual action will enable them to develop accountability rather than shirk their responsibilities toward the environment. Additionally, implementing changes and making decisions will be much faster and more efficient if it takes place at a more rudimentary level.
Furthermore, conglomerating individuals from different countries with disparate perspectives and viewpoints into one universal body will be very difficult to organise. Hence, having smaller bodies operating at the community, state, or national level may be easier to institute. Research has also shown that when working, environmental workers prefer to work within their own teams than working with larger groups consisting of a myriad of teams. Lastly, the environmental challenges faced differ from one region to another, so having a global organisation addressing all the problems may leave some issues unaddressed.
However, it can be said that a worldwide authority on environmental issues will help establish uniform policies, laws, and criteria for action. Environmental problems are of concern to every country; thus, ensuring their participation in such an organisation would guarantee that they are all doing their bit to resolve the environmental crisis. In addition, carrying out such a widespread venture would encourage a spirit of collaboration and help people unite in the face of problems.
To sum up, it can be said that while there are some benefits to having a worldwide organisation managing environmental issues, it might be preferable to have smaller organisations for individual compliance and the ease of decision making and effecting change in the community.

Sample Answer 2 on ‘Managing Global Environmental Issues Should be Handled’
The issue of global environmental problems has been raised due to climate change, deforestation, and ocean pollution which are some of the leading environmental causes. Some proponents argue for the management of such issues by introducing one global organization. However, I am of the opinion that international cooperation is a necessity but at the same time, I disagree that one central organization alone can effectively deal with all the environmental problems that exist in the world.
On the one hand, the world organization could offer a set of policies that would be the same everywhere and would refrain from imposing different standards for various countries with respect to the environment. The challenges of the environment, such as the elimination of greenhouse gases, need to be tackled together and a central authority could oversee the rules, distribute the scientific data, and handle the financing for the large-scale initiatives. For instance, a unified international agreement on the reduction of carbon is of a higher degree of efficiency if it is supported by a global system that promotes collaboration instead of isolated national attempts.
However, incorporating just one organization might rule out differences and ignore local needs. In some regions, the environmental problems are either less or more pronounced, where cutting in that particular area would be needing customized solutions. A central authority sometimes might not be able to tackle issues such as water scarcity in dry regions or logging in the case of rainforests. Besides, local governments and regional organizations are more capable of comprehending these issues and bringing about practical solutions that are acceptable in the local culture.
In conclusion, while a single global organisation could be very useful in the coordination of efforts and setting of international standards, it should not be the only authority in charge of environmental issues. A system that is well balanced and integrates global leadership with local action is much more likely to deal with environmental challenges efficiently.
