The maps depict an industrial area east of Norbiton that is slated for redevelopment. The plans call for transforming the area into a residential neighborhood with new housing and supporting facilities.

Currently, there is a roundabout connecting a road that runs southward and another that runs eastward, with several factories in the vicinity that will be removed as part of the redevelopment.

The area around the eastern road will be used for housing, with a school constructed at the end of the road and a playground to the north. Another road is planned that will run north from the roundabout over a river, with housing lining the west side. The farmland north of the river will make way for more housing, where a road parallel to the river will be built and connected to the northbound road. There are also plans for another road branching northwest from the roundabout. Housing will be erected along one side of this road and at its end.

The maps show an industrial area in Norbiton in the present day compared to a proposed redevelopment layout in the coming years. Overall, it is clear there will be significant infrastructure changes resulting from the future plan.

To start, in the current layout, a river runs along the northern border with farmland beyond it. However, there is no bridge for workers to cross the river to the other side. Interestingly, in the future plan, a bridge will connect the town center to the farmland across the river. Also, factories currently dominate the central and eastern parts of town, but in several years these will be largely replaced by housing units.

Moreover, presently there is limited infrastructure, while the future layout shows improved infrastructure concentrated in the central and eastern areas. Some of these changes include the addition of shops, schools, playgrounds and medical centers. It is noteworthy that the part of town to the west will remain unchanged in the future plan.

In summary, the maps illustrate how Norbiton will be transformed from an industrial area with minimal infrastructure into a residential neighborhood with enhanced facilities and connections over the river to support the new housing development. (196 characters).
