Sample Answer - Describe a family picnic or tour you have had - IELTS Cue Card
Back in the days, exploring the lanes of my childhood, I can still vividly recall how we used to go to some or the other place during every summer vacation. Not to brag, but till now, we must have roamed around almost half of India. Although I have plenty of memories to pen down, I would like to share a special one here.
It was the time when my father suddenly announced that we were going to Manali the next day. After half an hour of squabbling between my father and mother because of the last minute announcement, all of us got engaged in packing up after dinner. That night, we slept late, less because of the packing, more because of the excitement. And, the next morning, around 8 AM, we commenced our road trip.
Upon reaching Manali, we checked in a hotel, which seemed comfortable and relaxing. Since we arrived late, we called it a day and went to sleep after having our dinner. We stayed in that town for almost 3 days and tried covering most of the tourist destinations. From Arjun Gufa to Beas River, Chandrakhani Pass, Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley, Jogini Waterfalls, Manu Temple, The Manali Gompa, and several other places were crossed on our list.
On this hill station, I wanted to do something adventurous. Thus, I coaxed my father to go paragliding in dobhi valley. It was one of a kind experience, and that memory is etched in my mind like everything happened just a few hours back. Overall, it was one of the most memorable trips that I ever went to. I hope to experience more such moments with my family.
