Pay attention to the intonation and pronunciation of the words.
- When you wear it?
Going down memory lane, the only time I had worn a uniform for the most extended period was when I was a student. Back then, going to the school, each day, with the same uniform, didn’t make it look voguish or in-trend.
While I wanted to get rid of it, I never assumed that I would miss it one day. I got admitted to one of the exceptionally well-off schools that had a higher stature in my hometown. One thing worth mentioning is that I never changed school.
- What does it look like?
So, from the prep section to the 12th standard, I was stuck to one. I vividly remember the one-piece dress, sky blue in colour, when I’d joined the school as a nursery student. This knee-length dress had white stripes and the school’s patch on the left-side pocket.
- Who bought it for you?
My mother had purchased that dress for me. When I reached the 1st standard, it changed to a blue shirt with white stripes and a blue knee-length skirt. During summers, the colour changed to white for the shirt and grey for the skirt.
- How do you feel about it?
Afterwards, from 9th to 12th, I wore a dupatta suit, wherein the blue-coloured shirt was knee-length along with white salwar and dupatta. Now that I reminisce about my time spent in school, I long to have a few moments to be relived. But alas, we have come a long way. And there seems to be no going back.
Sample Answer 2
- When you wear it?
I’ve only worn a uniform in my school time. Once I completed school, I never got a chance to wear a uniform. The school had assigned two varying uniforms. One was worn on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, while the other one was to be worn on Wednesday and Saturday.
- Who bought it for you?
Our school had tied up with a uniform vendor. On the day when we were to get our results and be promoted to the next standard, the teachers used to give us the vendor’s contact card along with our report card. So, each year, I used to go with my parents to get customized uniforms according to my size.
- What does it look like?
The uniform that we used to wear on four days had a light blue coloured shirt with white coloured stripes. It came with a blue skirt for girls and blue pants for boys, matched with blue socks that had white stripes and black shoes. On the remaining two days, we used to wear a complete white uniform along with white socks and shoes.
- How do you feel about it?
At that time, I was not too enthusiastic about wearing a uniform every single day. However, now that it’s been years wearing it, I miss that piece of clothing a tad bit too much. Also, now I realize that the uniform was to maintain harmony and not instill any student with a feeling of superiority.
