Fitness plays a pivotal role in any individual’s life. Health can be described as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. However, life has become extremely fast-paced and stressful in today’s world. Individuals’ health is being harmed as a result of this. My health has deteriorated as a result of comparable circumstances. A few years back, I was fed up with numerous health issues bothering my body, so I resolved to keep a good routine, including physical activity, in order to avoid such issues and preserve my health. Since then, I’ve made it a point to practice yoga.
At first, I practised yoga at home. However, I enrolled at a yoga facility near my house because I required expert instruction. The first few weeks of doing yoga around five years ago were gruelling and frustrating, and I wanted to leave. I persisted and ultimately broke past the psychological barrier. For starters, I felt more comfortable in my skin. My posture also began to improve. I’m training my mind to be calm even when my body is stressed by practising balancing postures.
I used to perform yoga by myself when I first started. However, few of my friends joined with time after seeing my mental and physical transformation. I practice yoga for an hour every day, and it has given me a new perspective on life as well as a sense of serenity and tranquillity. Learning yoga and incorporating it into my daily routine has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made.

Just like all of the health connoisseurs, I have this passion for leading a healthy life while enjoying every moment simultaneously. However, the only thing with a healthy life is that we need to maintain consistency, regardless of the busy schedules. Of course, a health routine varies from person to person, depending upon the preferences. As far as I am concerned, I enjoy cycling.
In fact, cycling was one of my most preferred hobbies when growing up. I would hardly let a day pass by during my childhood days when I didn’t cycle. And then, once I reached the eighth grade, cycling to and from school became a routine. Besides, one of the biggest plus points of cycling is that I can easily pedal through secluded places with the gratification of the cool wind blowing my hair and the sun eluding in the evening.
Of course, the only difference now is that when I was growing up, cycling was a duty; now, it’s just another activity I get to enjoy during the weekends. When talking about the health benefits of cycling, it helps with cardiovascular fitness, increases muscle strength and flexibility, improves joint mobility, decreases stress levels, improves posture and coordination amongst others.
Back in the days, my classmates used to accompany me, and we used to go on different routes, racing until the spot. Reminiscing those days, I still remember how the person reaching the last would treat everybody else with delicious samosas. But now, I try to take my family members on weekend rides to instill a handful of health benefits into their otherwise slothful life.
