Sample Answer 1
Exploring new opportunities and expanding one’s repertoire of skills is always beneficial. I am always curious to delve into new areas of learning and build upon my existing skill set as it would not only widen my knowledge but gaining a new skill would also be a welcome step for my career trajectory. In this regard, I would like to talk about a language I would like to learn in the future.
Learning languages has always been my forte. In my school days, I thoroughly enjoyed learning a third language besides my native language and English. After school, I continued to pursue my passion for languages by completing an elementary course in French. However, one language I have hankered to learn for ages is Italian.
Italian has a bounteous store of cultural works, which is one of the primary reasons I want to learn the language. One of my favourite authors, Jhumpa Lahiri, extensively learnt Italian over the course of many years and eventually began to write books in the language, which struck me as inspiring. Learning Italian would enable me to discover her original writings but also of Elena Ferrante and Italo Calvino, whose books I have only read in their translated versions. It would also enable me to comprehend better and enjoy the cinematic masterpieces created by De Sica, Fellini and the other greats. Besides the aspect of consuming literary and cinematic works, learning Italian would help my career prospects if I ever decided to migrate to Italy for education or work. It would also help me explore possible career options, such as becoming a translator.
In order to learn the language, I would enrol myself in a language centre, but only after checking their authenticity and whether or not they provide recognised certification or not. I would supplement my learning by listening to music and watching films in Italian and trying to read small articles. Since I already know a bit of French, which also has its roots in Latin, it would also help me pick up Italian much more easily. I firmly believe that age cannot curb one’s desire to learn and one should keep learning for as long as possible. As for me, learning Italian would open up many opportunities for me while also adding to my knowledge and allowing me to build on my skills.

I’m very fond of pursuing new courses that help me broaden my knowledge and expand my perspectives. Also, Constant learning of new skills has helped me advance my career to a great extent, like diversifying my job options and updating my knowledge about the changing technological world. So, here, I’d like to talk about a language course that I’d like to learn in the future.
French, being the second most useful language in the corporate sector, I’d like to learn it as that would provide a competitive edge in my career prospects when I visit France. I’ve been longing to pursue a French course but due to work commitments, I couldn’t strike the appropriate balance between managing my work and learning. However, I recently discovered a language centre close to my home that offers French certificate courses online. I researched the centre to check their authenticity, and only after I was convinced I enrolled for their online French course. Additionally, I have planned to rely upon the language apps for more assistance and learning resources.
I feel that learning anything new has no limits and that mastering one language is never enough, especially in today’s competitive and evolving world, which is immensely diverse in all aspects. To be honest, I’m interested in learning French because it would be a valuable career asset that would open a door full of opportunities in the employment field and enrich my travel experiences. It’d also help me comprehend the French-speaking world’s historical and cultural traditions and lifestyles.
