Sample Answer 1 for Writing Task 1 Question – You Want to Sell Some of Your Furniture
Dear Nisha,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing because I am planning to sell a few pieces of furniture from my apartment, and I immediately thought of you. As you know, I am moving to a smaller place next month, so I won’t have enough space to keep everything. Rather than selling these items online, I would much prefer passing them on to someone I know.
The main items include a solid wooden dining table with four chairs and a three-seater sofa. The table is about three years old, in excellent condition, and has a dark walnut finish. The sofa is light grey, very comfortable, and barely used, as I spend most of my time at work. Both pieces have been well-maintained and are free from any damage.
If you are interested, you are welcome to come and see them this Saturday afternoon, or anytime over the weekend if that works better for you.
Let me know what you think. Hope to see you soon.
Take care,
Lavanya

Sample Answer 2 for Writing Task 1 Question – You Want to Sell Some of Your Furniture
Dear Timothy,
How have you been? I wanted to let you know that I am selling some of my furniture and thought you might be interested before I advertise it elsewhere. I have recently decided to redecorate my living space and replace a few older items with something more compact. As a result, I am planning to sell my coffee table, bookshelf, and queen-size bed.
The furniture is all in very good condition. The bookshelf is made of solid wood and has five spacious shelves, ideal for books or décor items. The coffee table has a glass top and minimal wear, while the bed frame is sturdy and only two years old.
If you would like to have a look, you could come by next Sunday afternoon. If that doesn’t suit you, we can easily fix another day that’s convenient for both of us. Let me know whenever you’re free. I would be happy to show you everything.
Best wishes,
Lakhsya

Sample Answer 3 for Writing Task 1 Question – You Want to Sell Some of Your Furniture
Dear Xerxes,
How is everything at your end? I’m writing this letter to let you know that I’m planning to sell some of the furniture I have. Actually, it slipped from my memory to tell you that I’m relocating to a different city as I’ve changed the organization I was working for. So, I think it would be really onerous to take all of this furniture along. You know how I adore them all, and rather selling it to someone else, I would have you as a buyer.
So, all I’m planning to sell is the sofa set which you love to spring on every time you come, a chandelier that I got last year and a showcase built of European Oak wood, and a shelf made up of Akasa wood.
Why don’t you come and have a look next week? It would be better to talk about it face to face. I shall be waiting for you.
Much love,
Prakhar Panchbhaiya
