Band 9 Sample Answer - Nowadays the Way Many People Interact With Each Other Has Changed
The waves of technology and digitalisation have taken the world with furore much ahead of how it was a decade ago. The revolutionary inventions and digital breakthroughs have changed the way we lived drastically and one such aspect that has been metamorphosed significantly is communication and interaction. In this essay we shall see how the equation of people and the way they communicate with each other have changed and how it has negatively affected the relationships between people.
Undoubtedly, technology and digital accoutrements have traversed a long way, and we have been drifted along with them. Our communication, which once used to be blithely and lively with the communicators being face to face, have now been changed and truncated to digital space, more often than not. Moreover, as the languid and phlegmatic lifestyle has become a preference for the people owing to the easier alternatives available at the comfort of their phones and tablets, people don’t want to undergo the hassles of meeting someone in person with face-to-face interaction. In addition to that, social media have taken over the social essence of humanity and hence, have made people materialistic, callous and more commonly, indifferent to what others might be going through. This has severely made the relationship between people choleric.
This is very certainly a negative and cantankerous development for the relationships of the people in many aspects and across various scenarios. First of all, wrongly deciphered communication due to misconstruing the encoded information, majorly in text conversations, have entrenched a feeling of unwarranted rivalry and odium in people. For instance, misinterpreting the true intent behind the conversation has often led to acrimonious emotions in the minds of people, which most of the time was uncalled for. Moreover, the camaraderie and bonding of people in their classes, workplace or simply in social gatherings have been devoured and decrepitated by online mediums of communication where people chat and interact with materialistic intents.
Hence, in conclusion, we may say that technology has severely rancoured the relationships of people and this is not at all a worthwhile development.
