What are the steps to register myself for the OET from the portal?

First of all, to register for the OET exam, you need to log on to the official website of the OET and click the “Book A Test” option. Then, you will have to select the country you want to appear for the OET from and thereafter choose your preferred centre (for OET on paper and OET on computer). Finally, you will find a registration portal on the official website, myOET and you should register there. On the registration portal, you’ll be required to fill out your registration form with the details that are asked for. Once you have filled out the form and completed the steps mentioned earlier, you will need to pay the exam fee (please refer to the website payment gateway) as a final checkout process.

What are the details that I need to provide for registering myself?

What if I am a refugee and do not have a valid identification document as mentioned above?

This case is not unfounded, and there are cases where you may be a refugee and, therefore, wouldn't have a valid identification document used to verify your identity. In that case, you may use the official immigration documents that recognise your status and contain your full name, date of birth (DoB), and photographs. If your immigration identification does not have a photograph, full name, DoB, or is pending approval, you can use this together with an authorisation letter. The authorisation request must be submitted no later than two days after booking. You must bring the authorisation letter and the identification used on test day.
