Nowadays consumers are faced with advertisements from all kinds of companies. To what extent do you agree that consumers are influenced by advertisements? What measures should be taken to protect them?

In this day and age, advertisements are a communication tool between consumers and companies. Therefore, all kinds of companies are trying to make an impact on their consumers by promoting an increasing number of advertisements. From my perspective, I totally agree that advertisements are having effects on clients and there are some solutions that should be taken to protect them.
There is no doubt that advertisements influenced people’s minds. In this competitive world, companies have to release advertisements as much as they can to attract the attention of clients and sell more of their products. They can use complex artificial intelligence systems to follow and track user behaviors thereby recommending some helpful information about their products that people are caring about. On the one hand, we can take lots of benefits from advertisements due to the informative information about the goods which we are going to buy. For example, if you look for a new model sneakers or a T-shirt, advertisements will turn on in social networking platforms such as Facebook, Tik Tok or Instagram to help you explain your choice and provide more detail about sneakers. On the other hand, too much advertisements will make people easily distracted by notifications. Moreover, there are some advertisements that may be not true or give wrong data about products.
Several measures can be taken to combat the adverse effects of advertisements. First, the government should impose strict laws and regulations on advertising companies to not pressurize the public to purchase unnecessary products. The advertising agencies should be aware of launching ethical advertisements. Furthermore, the consumers should protect themselves from being persuaded by celebrity endorsements.
To sum up, there are various reasons for the influences of advertisements on people’s lives, and steps need to be taken to tackle thí problems.

Band 6
Most points of the question have been addressed well. The structure of the essay is good but the vocabulary used is average and can be improved upon.
The grammatical range has not been presented as expected and the coherence can worked upon by using more connectors.

Right now, most of people, in all age range, own one or more SNS accounts and spend big amount of their time just going through how the world is moving through SNS. This also leads them to many different advertisements about literally everything. In this case, I believe that the influence of such advertisements are big enough to harm one’s consuming habits, therefore should be regulated and educated to prevent this from getting more serious.

Making impulsive purchase is one of the worst consuming habits one could have. People make such mistakes because of many reasons such as deprivation in childhood, low self-esteem or lack of self-control. However, these days, they are also made because of too much, unfiltered advertisements surrounding the younger generations, who haven’t actually fixed their own reasonable consumption standards. According to a survey made by Bankrate, 60%of Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, answered that they made an impulse purchase because of advertisements on SNS. Like this, ones fail to make good choices since they are covered with to much overly inflated advertisements.

Then to solve this problem, the government should make strict regulations of advertisements encircling us. The companies should be made to only appeal about their brand’s realistic goals and specifications that are needed when consumers make choices between them and other similar companies. Moreover, there should be more educations to teach consumers to make reasonable purchases.

In conclusion. as more younger and uncentered ones are starting to use sns and get seriously affected by it, the government should indeed stop unrealistic and deceptive advertisements while they teach the consumers too.
